Help when you need it - F A S T !

how to defrag her hard drive properly...
Just want to (finally) thank
you for your help. I was able to do the defrag in the safe mode, it did
restart a couple times- but it did get it done! My computer is
not XP, but 98SE. Thanks for the other advice, and of course your
column--

After restoring Elliot's hard
drive... Absolutely
amazing...it's like an entirely different and new experience. The response
time has improved by a quantum amount. It's fun all over again.

beautiful new computer - boy is it fast! I am happy to report that everything
seems to be working perfectly, including that troublesome printer!
We encountered quite a few obstacles in getting
everything installed and you stuck with it until everything was resolved. There
is no way I could have done even a fraction of what you did. I cannot thank you
enough for your perseverance.

There aren't the right words to say to thank you
for what you have done for me. I have not known what to do until I saw your
newspaper article in the paper. I called your number right away and how glad I
am because you were right there to help me. I can't say enough good about you to
equal what you have done for me. I especially appreciate the patience you
exhibited to let me write down what you were telling me. That takes more time

started popping up on her screen...

your steps and when I restarted the computer (step 8), and the computer came
back on, all those nasty messages that I had been getting everyday disappeared!
I have chosen a time for the automatic updates so I think all is well.
You are a tremendous help. Even
knowing that you are there to solve a problem is reassuring.
